Retire the Permission Slip, Keep the Pen
Somewhere along the way you started carrying permission slips for ordinary adult decisions, hoping someone qualified would sign one. Nobody is coming with a gold star and a stamp for your Tuesday. The pen has been in your pocket the whole time, slightly warm and out of ink excuses. Sign for the walk, the call, the draft, the rest, and know you can approve a beginning without guaranteeing the ending.
